Job summary:
To oversee and manage all project control functions, ensuring accurate cost management, project scheduling, and risk analysis. This role supports the delivery of projects on time and within budget while maintaining compliance with company standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cost Control and Budget Management: Develop and monitor budgets for projects in collaboration with finance and project managers. Prepare cost forecasts and variance analyses. Ensure adherence to cost-control policies and provide insights for cost optimization.
- Scheduling and Progress Monitoring: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera or equivalent tools. Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and issue corrective action recommendations for deviations.
- Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and report on project risks and mitigation strategies. Maintain a risk register and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare comprehensive progress reports, including Earned Value Management (EVM). Present project controls status to stakeholders during regular review meetings.
- Documentation and Compliance: Oversee document control processes to ensure timely and accurate recording of project changes and approvals. Ensure compliance with project controls and documentation standards.
- Coordination: Work with project teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure alignment on project controls requirements. Act as a liaison between project management and technical teams.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in project controls, with at least 3 years in a senior position.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
